Complete renovation and conversion of 100 year-old, 10,000 square foot industrial warehouse into a performing arts rehearsal space. Located in Gowanus, Brooklyn, key components of $9M project include structural steel reinforcement, restoration and repair of existing masonry structure, new roof dunnage assembly for mechanical equipment, complete replacement of all windows and skylights, significant interior concrete foundation and exterior paving, entirely new mechanical-electrical-plumbing installation, and one of New York City’s first glue-laminated beam/column and cross-laminated timber flooring systems.

Upon its completion in late 2019, the Mercury Store will serve as a rehearsal/incubator space and a home for performances by the neighborhood’s youth and adult community theatre, dance, and music groups.
