Assisting with management of all onsite coordination for commercial construction sites. Will assist in responsibilities for job-site safety, material and labor scheduling, inspections, and quality control.

1 – 3 years in a related construction field. Prior site experience preferred.
· Submit a detailed daily log of activities including photographs of all trades on the jobsite.
· Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
· Assists in ensuring that all required quality control checks are performed (including
inspections)
· Direct Yorke labor force in site maintenance.
· Assists in supervising subcontractors’ labor work as required.
· Strong communication and follow-up skills
· Assists in reviewing and/or preparing all required on-site documentation.
· Identify and immediately report any subcontractor non-compliance for safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
· Ability to work well with others in situations that arise day-to-day.
· Approaches others in a tactful manner, reacts well under pressure, treats others with respect and consideration, regardless of their position, accepts responsibility for own actions, follows through on commitments.
· Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated surfaces.
· Ability to identify deficient work and report or help provide resolution.
· Ability to oversee a work crew, subcontractors, organize and schedule vendors.
· Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions, uses equipment and materials properly.
· Follows instructions, responds to management direction, commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals, completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
· Communicate using the following tools: Smartphone, written directions, email, i-Pad, and computer.
· Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and multitask.

Assist the Chief Estimator on all aspects of project budgeting and vendor participation.
Consult with project managers and superintendents as necessary during bidding and estimating process.
Review, with understanding, drawings, and specifications to understand necessary subcontractor participation.
Perform quantity take-off’s of plans with estimating software.
Participate in estimate reviews, subcontractor interviews and design team meetings.
Assist with creating estimates and subcontractor bidding process.
Manage subcontractor pre-qualification process and master subcontractor list.
Manage RFI process during pre-construction phases.
Bachelor’s or associates degree in a technically related field.
Have clear [spoken] communication in English.
Well organized
Must be willing to “pick up the phone” and not only rely on email for communication.
Have a proactive disposition.
Be willing, and excited to learn Yorke Construction standard operating procedures if different then previous experience(s).

Create detailed weekly/biweekly project schedules.
Maintain daily logsManage RFIs (request for information) and RFPs (requests for proposals), submittals, outgoing/incoming documents, change orders, etc.
Interface with other members of Yorke team to ensure accuracy with outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing.
Develop a project schedule tasks and deadlines.
Resolve any issues and solve problems during the duration of each project. Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with the project change request forms.Track and report on project milestones and provide reports to management.
Maintain project tracking spreadsheet.
Develop tools and best practices for project management and execution.
Ensure all project documents are stored and tracked on a timely basis.
Proactively assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality, and financial goals.
Attend client meetings on an as-needed basis and produce meeting minutes.
Candidates must have a working knowledge of the principles and terminology in the construction industry.
Prior work experience in the construction industry preferred.
Technical, Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree pertaining to the construction field.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent communication skills required.
Must be a team player and work well with others.
